This article and data visualizations explore the volcanic activity. A summary of some statistics about eruptions within the last 10,000 years and two new interactive visualizations that allow you to explore all recorded eruptions will be provided.

This article and data visualization explores a total of 1,550 volcanoes registered by The Smithsonian Institution's Global Volcanism Program. It allows you to know where every volcano is located including latitude-longitude, region and country, and some of their characteristics, such as primary volcano type, dominat rock type, tectonic setting and elevation.
